Ryuichiro Higashinaka is a senior research scientist at NTT Media Intelligence Laboratories, NTT Corporation, in Japan. He received a B.A. in environmental information, Master of Media and Governance, and Ph.D. from Keio University, Kanagawa, in 1999, 2001, and 2008, respectively. He joined NTT in 2001. He has been working in the fields of spoken dialogue systems and question answering systems. He was a program co-chair of the 17th Annual SIGdial Meeting on Discourse and Dialogue (SIGDIAL2016). He is on the scientific advisory board of SIGdial. He is also on the board of directors for the Japanese Society for Artificial Intelligence (JSAI).
